Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Taminus is a digital marketplace that connects buyers, sellers and delivery riders across Jos, Plateau State and beyond. It runs two platforms: Taminus.online (fast grocery and everyday shopping delivered to your door) and Taminus.com (where any trader can open a digital storefront and sell). We also run the delivery network that moves orders — our own fleet, partner tricycle riders, and independent couriers.

2. What these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Taminus. They apply to everyone who uses the platforms — shoppers, merchants, and riders. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platforms.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Keep your login details safe, and make sure the details on your account (name, phone number, address) are correct and up to date — we use them to deliver your orders and pay you.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and contact us right away.

4. Buying on Taminus

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy at the price shown. The order is confirmed once the merchant accepts it and payment goes through. Prices shown include VAT where required, but delivery fees are added at checkout and may change depending on distance, weight and demand.

If an item is out of stock or a merchant cannot fulfil your order, we will let you know and refund you in full. You can cancel an order before it has been dispatched for a full refund. After dispatch, cancellations and returns follow the platform’s return policy shown at checkout.

5. Selling on Taminus

Any trader, artisan, roadside vendor or established business can open a storefront. You keep full ownership of your customer list, your pricing and your business decisions — we simply provide the tools.

You are responsible for what you sell: items must be legal, safe, accurately described and priced correctly, and in stock when an order is placed. If you list anything that is illegal or prohibited (see section 9), we may remove it and suspend your store.

Payouts from sales are made to the bank details on your account. You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on your earnings.

6. Delivery and riders

Orders are delivered by our Express fleet, partner tricycle riders from the Tricycle Riders Union of Nigeria (TRUN), or independent couriers using our open logistics network.

If you are a rider, you must handle every parcel carefully, follow traffic and safety laws, and deliver to the address shown. Riders are independent partners, not employees of Taminus. Your earnings are paid out on the schedule shown in the rider dashboard.

7. Payments and fees

Payments are processed by licensed payment partners such as Paystack and Monnify. We never store your card details.

We may charge merchants a commission on sales and riders a small platform fee. The current rates are always shown on the dashboard before you start. We will give you notice before any fee increases.

8. Prohibited items

You may not list or deliver: counterfeit goods, weapons, drugs and illegal substances, unapproved medicines, stolen items, or anything that harms others or violates Nigerian law. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us before listing it.

9. Your content

The photos, descriptions and other content you add to your storefront remain yours. By adding them, you give us a licence to display and use them on the platforms for as long as your store is active. This lets us show your products to buyers and process orders.

10. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Taminus available and your transactions safe, but we cannot promise the platforms will never have downtime or errors, and we are not responsible for events outside our control such as network failures, natural disasters or government actions.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in connection with that claim, or its equivalent. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is involved in fraud, or puts other users at risk. If this happens, we will tell you why. You can close your own account at any time from your dashboard, and any outstanding earnings or refunds will still be paid out.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. We will post the updated version here and let you know through the platform when they change. If you keep using Taminus after a change, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We hope issues never arise, but if they do, we will first try to resolve them directly with you. Disputes that cannot be resolved this way may be taken to a court in Nigeria.
